In April of last year (2010) Jeff and I began the process to adopt a baby girl from Ethiopia. In January of 2011 we submitted our dossier and since that day, we have been waiting for a referral. What's a referral you ask?...
A referral signifies the moment you are given a child. Well, you aren't given the child quite yet, but the ball is moving in that direction. A referral is when "paper-ready" child will be matched with us and all of our paperwork will be submitted to Ethiopian court. We are hopeful to receive a referral by the summer.
In the mean time, we've got a lot to do! We are in the, "fundraising" process of our adoption and if you ask Jeff he will tell you how exciting it is! If you ask me, I will smile and nod and tell you another story ha! We are confident however, that the God who called us to step out and begin the process, will provide the means to bring her home. I will agree with Jeff that it is completely exciting to see how Big God is in all of this. Thrilling actually!
